Weald Country Park

Weald Country Park offers an idyllic day out for all the family!

Weald Country Park is located to the west of Brentwood. At nearly 500 acres it is the largest of the Essex County Council Country Parks. Parkland has been established here for more than 700 years; the lakes, the tree-lined avenues, and large parkland trees are the result of landscaping carried out in the 18th century.

The Ranger service at Weald Park and Thorndon Park offers many special activities throughout the year. Activities for children vary from investigating flowers and insects to kite making and Halloween walks. In addition there are many educational walks and tours for family and adults on topics such as natural history, fungi and country park management.

The park is famous for its wildlife, including fallow deer, cattle, herons, mallard ducks and other water birds. Feed the deer with deer food from our shop or bring your own vegetable cuttings.

'The great expanse of unspoilt countryside is just perfect for a relaxing walk. Deer are often seen quite at ease wandering around the fields. The lake is quite superb with ducks and ducklings waddling around.' – Review from TripAdvisor

Car parks can be found on Weald Road and Lincolns Lane, CM14 5QS
